Investing in the future
A community’s greatest strength is our commitment to meeting future challenges. Our youth-based programming helps young learners meet the challenges of tomorrow by providing a foundational knowledge in creating food-secure communities. Our curriculum adapts beyond the farm to classrooms, club meetings, and other group settings.
In-School Workshops
We offer a series of hands-on, interactive workshops designed for different grade levels (Pre-K through 12th). They aim to provide students with the tools to understand and contribute to sustainable agriculture, environmental justice, and cultural preservation, with a strong emphasis on experiential learning.
Classes at the Farm
Our Back-to-Roots gardening classes span a wide range of knowledge for all ages and experience levels. We offer hands-on classes for beginning gardeners and specialty courses for soil building, composting, and problem-solving. Our lessons provide a common-sense approach to gardening that’s easy to follow. Get started on your gardening journey today!
Consultations
Are you ready to start your growing journey but don’t know how or where to begin? Let us help with an on-site consultation. We’ll show you the best place to grow your crops and give you a report on soil conditions and best practices. For established gardens, we can diagnose issues, and give advice on ways to improve your production.
